What is it?
The Tree Montgomery program is a program which allows anyone to plant shade trees for FREE! The goal is to increase tree canopy throughout the county and to provide benefits to you and your community. In the Spring 2020 planting season, Tree Montgomery has planted more than 3,760 trees. Note: Tree Montgomery is funded by the Tree Canopy Law. Tax dollars are not used to plant or care for the trees.
How to Sign Up
Signing up is easy!

Visit https://treemontgomery.org/request-a-tree/ to start the process.

After your application has been approved, schedule a site visit where Tree Montgomery staff will meet you and discuss planting procedures, a good location for your tree, and the types of trees you may want.

Next, sign an access agreement allowing Tree Montgomery to plant a tree in the desired location. Once all that is finished, Tree Montgomery will order your shade trees and schedule a planting. Plantings take place spring through fall.

On the planting day, a contractor will come to the property to plant the tree.

After your tree(s) have been planted, Tree Montgomery will have follow-up inspections to check on the status of it.
